The University News (University of Dallas)
The University News is the official weekly student newspaper of the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, United States. The newspaper emphasizes its editorial independence in its mission statement:[1]
- Since The University News exists to serve the students of a private Catholic university, the staff shall publish news and comments of interest and importance to the university community as far as the limitations of space and circumstance will permit.
- In the publication of news and opinion, the staff will be guided by the principles of sound and reasonable journalism.
- The University News’ primary responsibility is to its readers and not to news sources, college faculty/administration, or advertisers. News that may offend will be evaluated on its importance to students and, above all, on its accuracy and truth.
